Lonnie Ray Chandler, Sales, has spent his working life in produce. Born in the East Texas town of Jacksonville to a farming family. Lonnie started with Piggly Wiggly as a stock clerk while he was still in high school. He then moved to Safeway, where he worked 19-1/2 years in every

area, becoming an assistant store director. But his true passion has always been produce, and for the next six years, he became a produce buyer. Lonnie has also worked for Florida-based Certified Grocers and Chicago-based Topco. While with Topco, he moved to the Rio Grande Valley and was hired by J&D Produce, Inc. in 1995. Lonnie and his wife Brenda have a daughter and son. They love to travel and spend time together.
